Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for the Cherry Hinton Hub with Easyfundraising?

There are over 6,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation – including eBay, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com and M&S – and it won’t cost you a penny extra to help us raise funds.

There are no catches or hidden charges and the Hub team will be really grateful for your donations.

To sign up to Easyfundraising, all you need to do is:

  1. Go to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/cherryhintonhub and join for free.
  2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.
  3. After you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to your Cherry Hinton Hub at no extra cost to you whatsoever!

Thank You!

Why do we need to raise £50,000 towards the cost of the project?

At the early stages of discussion about the funding of the Hub, Cherry Hinton Residents Association agreed to raise £50k towards the total cost from the community to demonstrate commitment. It was further agreed that the £50k would be used for fitting out the cafe kitchen. The total cost of the project is around £1.6 million and this is coming mainly from the City Council and some from S106 money.

Now that we have a timeline for construction we can begin fundraising in earnest. We need your help or we won’t get our much needed cafe!

Funds are raised by The Cherry Hinton Community Benefit Society (CHCBS) and will be used primarily for the completion and running of the Cherry Branch cafe at the Hub. CHCBS is a Co-operative with charity status regulated by the FCA. Registered number 8095. It is a member of Co-operatives UK.
