Reaching a fundraising milestone

With the help of Bellway Latimer, we have reached a milestone in our fundraising: £10,000!

Bellway Latimer, which is building homes at Springstead Village, generously donated £5350 to our community café outfitting and furnishing appeal.

As you probably know by now, we are raising £50,000 for our new community café, The Cherry Branch.

It’s fantastic to reach such an important milestone and it gave the hub team a big boost.

“Raising large sums of money is not the easiest of tasks in the current cost of living crisis. It’s wonderful to know we are supported in our efforts to build a resilient and cohesive community, address social isolation and support the local economy.”

Mo Child, Chair of the Cherry Hinton Community Benefit Society

Springstead Village is planned to deliver 1200 new homes, community facilities, and open space.

“The Cherry Hinton Hub is an incredible community-driven project which will hugely benefit the residents of the area and we wanted to do what we could to support this scheme as it takes shape. We are looking forward to seeing the hub come to life and are sure this will be a focal point for residents for many years to come.”

We have since gone on to raise an additional £2000!

But we still need your help to reach the £50,000 target.
